What it asks
The three questions every board asks
Boards are structured, which means they are practicable. Behind the specific wording there are only a few shapes, and a candidate who has met all of them is not the one who freezes.
- “Tell me about a time” — and the follow-up when your first answer had no outcome in it
- The ethics scenario, where the honest answer and the comfortable answer are different
- The situational question, answered against the agency’s own stated values rather than a guess
- Why this agency, why this work, and what you did about it before today
